FerrariLand to open in Barcelona

In 2016, Spain plans to open a Ferrari amusement park and a themed luxury hotel. The name has already been chosen - FerrariLand - it will be a real paradise for lovers of masterpieces "made in Maranello"

Spanish company PortAventura Entertainment S.A.U. signed a licensing agreement with Ferrari to build FerrariLenda, a new theme park dedicated to the Prancing Stallion, in the PortAventura Recreation and Entertainment Park, located near Barcelona.

FerrariLand spreads over an area of ​​75,000 square meters. A variety of attractions built using the latest technology will attract car brand lovers of all ages. It even plans to install Europe's highest and fastest vertical slide.

Another significant innovation will be the construction of the first Ferrari-themed hotel in PortAventura. It is expected to be a 5-star luxury hotel with 250 rooms, with upscale restaurants and car simulators.


The total investment in the project will be 100 million euros, the opening of the park is scheduled for 2016. PortAventura receives about 4 million visitors annually, 50% of whom are foreigners. In 2009, PortAventura was acquired by the investment company Investindustrial and has since become the first amusement park in the Mediterranean region and the second in Europe. This success was primarily due to the additional 125 million euros invested in the park over the past 4 years.
